And it’s Jill’s birthday. The lady at the lost bags counter looked quite relieved that there was a glass barrier between us and her because she would have been hugged and kissed and danced around the hall when she said, in a beautiful Italian accent, that they were here. We had already organised a compensatory couple of nights on the Cinque Terre coast so we’re picking them up on Wednesday.
Jill is attributing this miracle to having touched a replica of the Virgin Mary’s Girdle, a Very holy relic, yesterday.
